Publications

I rarely send poems out to try to get them published, but I have had a few published and had some other opportunities. Here are a few things  that have gotten a wider reading, viewing, or listening.

"Definition" was published in the Summer 2015 issue of The Main Street Rag

"Madison"  was published in Volume 2, Issue 1 of Juniper: A Poetry Journal

"At Blessed Souls Pentecostal" was published in the Summer 2021 issue of Carve Magazine.

Other Work

My poem "The Family Story" was featured in a local NPR station's poetry series, Poetically Yours.

My friend Eric Peter Schwartz and I collaborated on this song. that I wrote about how my wife and I met. I wrote the lyrics and he wrote the music and sang / recorded it, put it on Spotify. Okay, it is more that I wrote the lyrics and he did the rest. He is a very talented, nice guy whose music is worth your time.

I have been a featured reader at a few local literary events. This was from Waterline Writers. It was a curated reading series that featured 4-5 writers every month. It is now defunct.

I also run a writing workshop called The Drink & Draft Poetry Roadshow. The group is online over Google Meet for now. Sign up at the Facebook or Eventbrite pages.

In person, I have also started to co-lead a monthly writing workshop with a friend. We call it the Open Circle Writing Collective. Sign up at the Facebook or Eventbrite pages.
